She Asked To Spend Her Last Days With A Kitten. Now The Kitten Is Healing Her Family

Kylie was losing her battle with cancer, but before she passed away, she asked for a kitten. Her family never imagined the impact this kitten would have not only on Kylie, but her entire family.

"I've heard people describe animals like angels. I never really understood what that meant until Liza met Kylie," Kylie's mom Robin Myers said.

When Eliza the kitten came to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue, she was very sick and just skin and bones.

"We got her healthy and she was waiting on her forever home when we got a very sad call," Angels Among Us Pet Rescue said. "A beautiful little girl named Kylie had cancer and right when they thought the treatment would be complete and she would be getting better, it came back."

Kylie asked for a kitten to cuddle as her final wish, and that kitten was Eliza.

"The family was not planning to adopt a new kitten. In fact, we rushed Eliza now over there on loan, simply to be with Kylie during her final days on earth."

When Kylie saw Eliza, her face lifted and her smile lit up the entire room. Little Eliza curled up in her arms and barely left her side for the next two and a half days.

"She was completely devoted to loving on Kylie. She had this purpose and it was the most beautiful thing to see," Robin said.

After Kylie passed, Eliza was began healing her family.

"I would start to cry, and Liza from wherever she was in the house, would come and just curl up in my lap and just wait out the storm with me," Robin said. "I've never experienced a pet, particularly a cat that is so in tune to what we need.

"Kylie told me to take care of Liza but it's also like she whispered to Liza to take care of me."
