Two Sisters Steal The Show With An Inspirational Dance Routine In Wheelchairs
March 3, 2014
Gracie is only 9 years old and despite being confined to a wheelchair, she doesn't see herself as disabled. She proved that by winning a dance competition with her sister at the Jamfest Super Nationals last weekend.
Gracie has been dancing since she was three years old. She uses a wheelchair due to cerebral palsy and cystic fibrosis.
Both sisters start the routine in wheelchairs, mirroring eachother's movements.
The routine incorporates the use of a mirror to illustrate the lyrics to the song 'Reflection' and to show how Gracie feels liberated on the inside despite her disability.
This was the first time the girls appeared a national stage and there wasn't a dry eye in the arena.
"I love dancing and want to show that I can do anything everyone else can because I believe in my dreams." ~ Gracie
