Homeless Man Flooded With Job Offers After Woman Shares His Sign On Facebook
January 18, 2017
A homeless man has managed to find work and accommodation after a woman shared his plea for help on Facebook.
Sherryn Jackson, from Melbourne, was walking through the city centre when she stubmled across a homeless man with a heartbreaking sign.
The man, who Sherryn later found out was named Barry, had moved to Melbourne from Perth after being offered a job.
Barry's sign read:
"Hi I'm from Perth W.A, I've been here three weeks looking for work. I've tried so hard to get work. I have my HR truck driving licence and have done lots of driving. I will do anything. Even clean toilets.
I am now homeless I just want to make a new life so if anybody can help it would be great.
Just give me a go please."
Wanting to help in whatever little way she could, she shared a picture of him holding his sign asking for work to Facebook.

"The response has been amazing," Sherryn said.
Barry has been given multiple calls about jobs, and has been offered accommodation. He has six job interviews lined up.
Barry has called her his "angel" after all the help she has given.
