According to Accuweather, the show should begin around 9:00 p.m, but optimal viewing will be around 2:00 a.m. ET tonight (December 14).

The Geminids, named because the meteors seem to radiate from the constellation of Gemini, will show up as mostly white and yellow, with perhaps 10% showing red, blue, or red.

The shower lasts a couple of weeks, with meteors typically seen Dec. 4-17, peaking near Dec 13-14.
