David Prowse, a 6'5" bodybuilder at the time, was the body actor of Darth Vader in the original trilogy.
Prowse thought that he was also the voice of the Vader, but after earning the nickname "Darth Farmer" on set, George Lucas decided to cast a separate actor to voice the villain.
