Singer Performs Breathtaking Duet As Freddie Mercury And Luciano Pavarotti

November 9, 2018

Marc Martel is an incredibly talented musician who's known for having a voice which is strikingly similar to the late Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury.

In fact, he does most of the singing for Freddie Mercury in the new Bohemian Rhapsody movie.

"Literally, you could close your eyes and it's Freddie," Bohemian Rhapsody's producer Graham King said. "And that's a very tough thing to do."

For reference, this is Martel performing "Bohemian Rhapsody".

But this video might be his best.

Martel performs a duet of two of his favorite musical influences, Freddie Mercury and Luciano Pavarotti.

Yes, he sings both parts and he does it all in one take.

"It is one continuous performance from start to finish using two cameras," Martel said about the video.

However, he did edit in the harmony at the end since, as he says, "I have yet to master singing in both voices simultaneously."

Still want more?

Here is Martel's cover of "Unchained Melody".
