Believe it or not, an elderly Chinese couple are responsible or saving the kumara (sweet potato) from disappearing in New Zealand.

Joe and Fay Gock escaped war and found refuge in New Zealand in the 1940s. The adorable couple met in their 50s and are responsible for many innovations in agriculture - including saving kumara from the black rot.
