A woman was driving home one night when she heard a loud thump. She quickly stopped her car and jumped out to see what she had hit. The baby bat was laying in the middle of the road, so she called for help.
Bat conservationist Denise Wade arrived on the scene and took the injured bat home. The bat will spend a short time in Denise's care filling up on delicious fruit before being released back to her colony.
