A deadly Viper was given a lifeline by rescuers.
The Horned Viper fell into a pit in the sandy wilderness of Assa, Morocco, where it was believed to have been trapped without food or water for about a month.
With "less than a week" to live, reptile rescuer Max Jackson was on hand to help, having spent the last few days searching the underground chambers for stranded wildlife.
