She Delivered A Healthy Baby, But 3 Weeks Later The Unthinkable Happened
October 24, 2015
Three weeks after giving birth to her first child, 26 year-old Holly Gerlach was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder, Guillain-Barre Syndrome. It started with a pain in her neck and a weakness in her legs, and within 12 hours, she could no longer walk anymore. Within 72 hours, she was completely paralyzed and could no longer breathe on her own.
She spent two and a half months in the ICU breathing on a ventilator and feeding through a tube. But Holly never stopped fighting, and eventually made a FULL recovery.
Though the first part of the video is heartbreaking, wait until you see Holly's miraculous transformation by the end. I can't believe it's the same woman we meet in the ICU!
