Disney certainly knows how to cut corners without anyone noticing... until now!
The examples shown in this video were animated using hand drawn frames. Key artists would draw out major poses and assistant artists would fill in the in-between shots. They recycle the movements by simple tracing over the frames with the new characters. This way they save time and money on having to come up with new ideas and designs for scenes.
