Daphne Sheldrick has dedicated her life - over 50 years - to raising orphaned baby elephants. Once they are old enough, they are taken to protected areas and integrated with other orphan groups.

Newly orphaned elephants will not survive three days without extreme care, and sometimes that's still not enough. What Daphne and her caretakers do for these babies is truly amazing.
