Firefighters Join Kids For Epic Water Fight During 'Wet Monday' Tradition In Poland

April 7, 2026

In Poland, the Monday after Easter turns into something unforgettable as entire communities step outside to celebrate one of the country’s most joyful traditions.

Known as Wet Monday, or Śmigus-Dyngus, the day is all about laughter, connection, and a whole lot of water. Friends, families, and even strangers join in playful water fights that symbolize washing away winter and welcoming the fresh start of spring.

A wholesome video making the rounds online perfectly captures that spirit. Filmed from a fire truck, it shows firefighters jumping right into the fun, using a massive hose to spray cheering kids and families gathered outside. Instead of running from the water, everyone runs toward it—laughing, shouting, and soaking up the moment.
