During their exploration, a friendly local demonstrated the mesmerizing process of extracting bubbles from the plant's sap.
Identified as Jatropha curcas, this unique species belongs to the flowering plant family Euphorbiaceae and is native to the American tropics, with its origins likely traced back to Mexico and Central America.
