Crow Is Captured On Video Removing Anti-Bird Spikes From Building

An intelligent crow has recently taken the spotlight for its remarkable feat captured on video. This feathered architect was spotted meticulously removing bird spikes from a building, showcasing an unexpected level of problem-solving and adaptability.

The video, shared to TikTok by a bystander, documents the crow's calculated efforts in dismantling the anti-bird deterrent spikes.

These spikes, commonly installed on buildings to discourage birds from perching and nesting, were no match for the crow's resourcefulness.

It has been reported that some crows - and magpies - are using these anti-bird spikes to construct their nests.

"I've been watching wildlife, and especially urban nature, for about half a century, and I've never seen something like this," said Cornelis Moeliker, director of the Natural History Museum Rotterdam. "It's almost unbelievable that it actually happens – I mean, the sheer irony of it."
