Humpback Whale Waves 'Hi', Splashes Women During Incredible Up-Close Encounter
July 4, 2022
An up-close visit from a humpback whale off the coast of Vancouver Island, B.C. made two women ecstatic.
Lauren Lan and her friend said they spotted the blowhole of the humpback whale in the distance but then the whale dove out of sight.
"We just stopped where we were and just thought, well, we'll just wait," Lan told CBC News.
"And then, about five minutes later, [it] came up right beside the boat."
