The hermit crab and sea anemone relationship is best described as a mutualistic relationship which is where both parties benefit mutually, and it is a type of symbiotic relationship as well. The sea anemone will eat scraps of food that the hermit crab releases as it eats, and the hermit crab is protected by camouflage and the sea anemone's natural defenses.
