Watch Two Year-Old's Reaction After Hearing Mom's Voice For The First Time

Born as a preemie at only 25 weeks, Ryan Aprea began his life with a seven-month stay in the ICU. Shortly before his discharge, his parents learned that their son was deaf.

The two-year-old had cochlear implant surgery in November. One month later, on December 12, 2014, the device was activated for the first time.
The video below shows Ryan's reaction after they turned the cochlear implant on for the first time at the lowest level. He could not stop giggling.
Ryan's mom Jennifer posted the video along with this comment on their Facebook page:
