Elderly Man Jumps Into Water To Save Drowning Child In China

An elderly man is being hailed as a hero for saving the life of a child who fell into a pit of water.
Despite having weak legs, the 73-year-old man jumped in to save a 1-year-old girl who fell into a 2-metre-deep water pit in China.
The man was working when he heard screams for help coming from the drowning child's sibling.
"I was the only person there. If I hadn't gone to rescue her who would?" the man said.
The child and the man are both in stable condition, the South China Morning Post reported.
