Twin Sisters Deliver Babies Just Minutes Apart
May 8, 2021
Twin sisters in South Carolina gave birth in the same hospital, in adjacent rooms, just minutes apart.
Caroline Giguere and Candice Hipp were also born just minutes apart. The sisters grew up together and now live across the street from each other.
Even during labor in separate rooms, the twins found a way to be there for each other through FaceTime.
"We talked multiple times," Caroline said. "We got to the point of 'how far along are you? Well, how far along are you?'"
Caroline's husband said even the nurses got in on the friendly competition.
Edson "Gray" Giguere was born on May 5 at 4:43 p.m. His cousin, Louise Springs Hipp, was born at 5:18 p.m. and both were delivered by the same doctor.
