California Deputies Help Lost Elephant Seal Find His Way Back Home
February 1, 2019
A lost elephant seal needed help finding his way home, so three deputies came to the rescue.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office deputies were filmed directing a young bull elephant seal on the opposite side of Highway 1 back to his fellow seals who were lounging near San Simeon.
The Sheriff's Office shared a video of the entire ordeal to its Facebook page Wednesday afternoon with the caption:
"You never know what your day will look like when you put on your uniform. Today it was one of our local elephant seals that needed help finding his way home!"
