Young H-E-B Employee Doesn't Hesitate To Pay For Woman's Groceries

December 27, 2018

A customer in line at an H-E-B supermarket in Texas witnessed an act of kindness that he just had to share with the rest of the world.

This is Jake. And what he did is outstanding.

"I want everyone to meet Jake at H-E-B," wrote Ryan Birdsong.

"I was about 3 people behind the lady checking out. She did not have enough money for the things she had on the counter.

Jake didn't flinch or bat an eye.

He noticed she could use the help, pulled his own wallet out, turned the credit card machine around to face him, swiped his own credit card, and casually said 'Merry Christmas.'

Jake can't be 20 years old, can't make enough as a checker to have a ton of disposable income, but Jake made a decision to be a great person and make some ones day, maybe their Christmas.

Everyone should try to be more like Jake.

If anyone knows Jake, please let me know as I would like to make his Christmas extra special!"

Birdsong's post has been shared more than 55,000 times on Facebook.
