December 21, 2018

LongHorn Steakhouse is one of the many restaurants helping to feed the hungry.

In partnership with Food Donation Connection, every LongHorn Steakhouse focuses on giving back by participating in its Harvest program.

Through this program, restaurants gather unused, surplus food each week and prepare them for donation to a local nonprofit organization.

For 15 years, LongHorn Steakhouse's nearly 500 restaurants nationwide have donated high-quality food items, such as steak, seafood and vegetables on a weekly basis to community food banks and other non-profit organizations to help feed the hungry.

None of the food is left over. It’s all fresh food that wasn’t used that day.

Together, all LongHorn Steakhouse restaurants have donated more than 19.4 million pounds of food to local community food banks through the program – equal to 16.1 million meals.
