The news was first brought to her by Ron Roberts, President and Creative Director of her record label. Connie shared her heartfelt—and humorous—reaction in a Facebook post:

“Thank you Ron for posting this link. My thanks to TikTok and its members for the wonderful, and oh so unexpected, reception given to my 1961 recording 'Pretty Little Baby'. The first I learned of it was when Ron called to advise me that I had 'a viral hit'. Clearly out of touch with present day music statistics terminology, my initial response was to ask: 'What's that?' Thank you everyone!”

And the song isn’t just trending on TikTok—it’s made its way onto streaming platforms too, surpassing 14 million global streams and breaking into Spotify’s Top 100 this week.

Reflecting on the renewed love for her music, Connie added:

“I recorded that song 63 years ago and to know that an entire new generation now knows who I am, and my music is thrilling for me. Thank you so much everybody, thank you TikTok.”
