Alexis Easter, 19, works at the Burger King in Mechanicsville, Virginia.

The man, known as Mr. John, is a regular at the fast food restaurant.

"When he's done I help him to the car because he has a terrible back. When we get to his car we talk and I make sure he's safe," Easter told WTVR.

Elizabeth Chandler was passing by when she saw Easter walking the man to his car. She did not know either of them personally, but snapped a quick photo and posted it on her Facebook page because "seeing her help this gentleman was so heartwarming."

"Shout out to the cashier at the Mechanicsville Burger King, making this world a little brighter," Chandler wrote on her Facebook post.
