Custodian Is Sent To Clean Up An 'Accident', Walks Into A Surprise Party Thrown By The Students

October 19, 2018

A custodian at Moody Elementary in Alabama found himself in tears when he realized an "accident" was actually a surprise party to celebrate him on National Custodial Workers Day.

Mr. Eugene was told that a student had peed his pants during an assembly in the gym.

"I'm so sorry! A student had an accident, can you help us clean it up?" a teacher says to Mr. Eugene in the video.

Little did he know, the assembly was for him.

When Mr. Eugene walks into the gymnasium, he sees a wave of students holding signs and cheering for him. He immediately gets emotional and appears to be on the verge of tears.

"I totally lost it," Mr. Eugene told ABC's Right this Minute. "I wasn't expecting that at all. I was expecting something much worst."

"It made me feel real appreciated," he added. "It was a total shock. I love these guys."
