High School Student Takes Her 80 Year-Old Grandfather to His First Prom

This 17 year-old high school student didn't go to the prom with one of her classmates from Albertville High School in Alabama. Instead, she chose a much older man: her 80 year-old grandfather.

And the reason why is beautiful.
James Drain never got to attend his prom because he dropped out of school to join the Navy 63 years ago. His granddaughter, Joy Webb, wanted him to share the experience with her.
Not only did the pair experience prom for the first time three generations apart, James was able to check another item off his list.
"This is my first appearance in a tuxedo! First tuxedo I've ever had!" James told WHNT News.
According to People.com, James and Joy "were one of the last couples on the dance floor, dancing to oldies by Elvis Presley and Chubby Checker. They didn't leave until the lights were turned on."
"My family is everything to me," Joy told WHNT. "I know he loves me and I love him, so it's just really neat and special."
