'No, I Got Him'

I have 2 kids, a 2-year-old and a 2-month-old.

I'm at the neighbourhood centre for a fund-raiser this morning and i had been sitting down to eat some waffles, my baby started to cry so I put my plate down, and an older woman comes over and says "no, I got him".

I thanked her and sat down to finish my waffles. When I had finished, I gestured to take him back and thanked her again, she said "I got him! Go and have a cuppa, I know what it's like".

And now I'm sitting and relaxing, watching this random woman hold my baby and sing him to sleep.
