A Broken Plate

A few weeks ago, I accidentally dropped a dish exactly like this, and it smashed into a zillion pieces! I'd had it for approximately 40 years, it had cooked many, many dishes for my children over the years, I was devastated to say the least.

Then today, we had a parcel delivered to my son Damian. He opened it and proudly handed it to me, he had bought this with his own savings, (he is on a Disability Support Pension) saying that he knew how upset I was and wanted to surprise me so he bought it on eBay for me!

I was very emotional of course.. what an absolute sweetheart!
