A Sensor Mat
By Natalie • May 11, 2021
Hubby come home yesterday and told me a story with tears rolling down his face of a young guy he met at a timber yard he did some work for, telling him about their little 10 week old baby girl who has been operated on 3 times already and had a similar heart condition that our son had at 6 weeks old and also he experiences (had open heart surgery 2 years ago), he said it just hit home and he could relate.
Anyway the guy said they are not getting much sleep as they are stressed about her heart stopping or changes to her condition.
Hubby was telling him about a sensor mat that he used for our son years ago to montior his heart and breathing. They have changed a bit in the last 19 years and are expensive and hubby knew they couldn't afford it.
We decided we needed to buy one for them, gave it to him today, hubby kept his sunnies on.. the guy was holding back tears and didn't know what to say.
I said don't need to say anything its just nice we could help and pay it forward.
It feels really incredible to help a family in this way.. imagine if everyone did this the world would be a better place.
Pay it forward!
