The Chemist
By a friend • March 31, 2021
I just had a genuine act of kindness by a complete stranger, and it's hit me right in the feels....
I went to the chemist to take out my antidepressant script, and was served by a new girl who checked my details and checked my dosage, she was clearly concerned seeing how high of a dosage I am on, all I said was "it's needed to be that high"... while waiting for the script I checked my bank account and realised I didn't actually have enough money to take out the script, when I went back and told her I'll have to come back in a few days when I get my next pay, she reached out and touched my hand, looked at me straight in the eyes and said "take it, it's OK, just come back to pay when you can, it's OK, I can only imagine what you're going through to need a dosage this high, I don't want you to go without it, so it's OK".... well heck that had me chocking back the tears... She asked to give me a hug, which I accepted. I'm so grateful I've crossed paths with a beautiful soul, restored my faith in humanity a bit.
Thank you Chemist girl, more than you know.
