Big Sister

By Sarah • November 10, 2018

My fiancee has two younger sisters. I am the youngest of five children, and thus have never had the experience of younger siblings. Lately his sisters (who are both teenagers) have been coming to me to ask for advice. It makes me feel really cool and important, but also a little bit scared that I could be telling them the wrong thing. We come from different religious backgrounds, and I haven't been a teenager for over a decade. What do I know about boys and school projects? Then I remember that I do know some things, and even though I've made mistakes, I would never lead someone to repeat those mistakes. I just trust in God and promise to be here when they make their own mistakes. I guess this is what being a big sister feels like.
