Tomorrow Is Garbage Pickup Day In My Neighborhood

By Kalen Curtis • October 8, 2018

As a stay-at-home mom of three boys, I often have a hard time feeling like I am capable of having a meaningful impact outside of my family.

So today I finally did something I knew I COULD do.

I have taken my kids out for walks in the stroller many times, and the trash on the sidewalk and streets always catches my attention.

This afternoon I did something about it. I tied a trash bag to the stroller, brought along some gloves, and stopped to pick up garbage along our walk.

There is still MUCH more trash I didn't get, but I managed to fill a garbage bag.

It's a such a small thing, but it feels good to have done it.
