God Is Good All The Time...

Due to a very unfortunate incident I had to leave out for the exam much later than I would have liked. Okay, this is a grave understatement for at that time it was to start in less than an hour. Now I live more than an hour away from the exam centre so of course I immediately started to panic. If you are more than half an hour late for the exam after it has started, you will not be allowed to sit the exam.
With the aid of one of my closest friends I was able to contact the invigilator. I was told that there is another person who is to sit the exam, so if he/she arrives the exam would have to commence without me. My heart sank. I kept saying to myself, please let the other person be late, please let the other person be late. If not there was no way I would make it in time. I tried to be positive. Somehow I just held on to the hope that something would work out. Then, I met up on a little thing I like to call traffic. My faith slowly began to wither away like autumn leaves. I just couldn’t imagine going through so much, coming so far and still not getting to do the exam in the end.
I finally reached the exam centre ... more than half an hour late. As I walked down the hall to the exam room I felt as though my feet were about to fail me. Unsure of my fate I was expecting the worse. Well, it turns out the other person didn’t come for the exam so the invigilator had decided to wait on me (since doing this would not inconvenience anyone else). So not only was I able to sit the exam, but sit it for the full time.
Some may say this was pure luck; the fact that I decided to leave out despite the odds, that I had a friend working at the exam centre, that the other exam candidate did not turn up and I had an invigilator who was very understanding. However, I can’t help but think someone greater than myself was at work here.
All I can say is, God is good all the time and all the time God is good.
