Why You Should Pursue Your Dreams No Matter What
By GR • June 13, 2016
I don't know if most of you have heard, but Christina Grimmie has died at the age of 22. It is tragic and my condolences go out to her family. Nobody saw this coming and why would they? She was young and had a whole life left to live, but she didn't get to live it. That's the way life is, it can all be taken away from you in an instant and you'll never see it coming. Now, most people will think about death, then continue to get sad and depressed about it but no matter how much we try to avoid it, death is an inevitability. We don't like to think about it, but it's true. Now, death can be source of sorrow, or it can be a source of motivation. Even though Christina Grimmie's death was tragic and terrible, it is the perfect example why you should get off your ass and do that thing you love to do. Why? Because we can die at anytime and spending a single second not doing want you love and actually living, is a waste of that precious time that you DO have. You will never get that time back again. She was only 22 but look at all the things she accomplished! She accomplished in life what most people only dream about. She started her music career when she was 15! As a musician who is 18 years old, this really makes me question what I'm doing with my life. Which is good! All of us should start asking ourselves these questions.
So if you need motivation, here it is. The reason you should pursue your dreams no matter where you are, what you have, or what you want. It doesn't matter how old you are. It doesn't matter. The only thing that's matters is if you're happy and if you're not happy, what else is there?
One day you will die, we all will. That day could be 50 years from now or it could be tomorrow, but that uncertainty is the perfect reason to live for today, because it could be the last chance you get.
