What True Love Looks Like After 20 Years

By Amelia • December 18, 2014

I've read a lot of frustrated posts about what love really is and isn't, and I thought I would share my experience.

Today is my 19th wedding anniversary. We weren't able to do anything special today, may husband had to work and then our kindergartener's Christmas program was tonight. We'll celebrate in a couple of weeks.

Last night at about 3 AM my husband and I both woke up with acid reflux. Getting old sucks. Anyway, he got up and searched the whole house for antacids. He only found two, and gave them both to me. I rolled over and went back to sleep.

I didn't know until this morning that he found only two, and that he suffered all night while propped up on pillows.

That's love.
