Responding officers located the speedy and surprisingly strong piglet, later identified as "Pickles." What followed was a spirited chase involving officers and helpful bystanders, as Pickles led them through multiple city blocks.
The chase concluded when Pickles was finally cornered in a side yard on Soll Court and safely taken into custody.

The joyful reunion with Pickles' mother occurred shortly after, much to the relief of all involved.
The Sebastopol Police Department shared a video of the daring rescue on their social media, humorously noting, "Officers Whitehall and Thomas used discretion and elected not to charge 'Pickles' with 148(a)(1) PC - (Resisting a peace officer). Instead, we felt it was beneficial to just admonish 'Pickles' for running from officers!"
