Rescued Bison Is The Gentlest Caretaker To A Young Cow At This Sanctuary
November 30, 2020
Helen is a rescued bison at the Lighthouse Farm Sanctuary, a refuge in Oregon for neglected and abused farm animals.
Italo was taken from his mother just hours after being born.
Once rescued, he found a beautiful friendship with Helen.
"Every time I'm lucky enough to catch a tender moment between these two it makes my heart swell and I can't help but share it with you," the sanctuary wrote on Facebook.
"So many odds stacked against them and yet here they are - loving with everything they've got. This is what freedom + love + care can do."
