Miniature rescue horse Spanky, 10, and Jack Russell Dally, 9, have been best friends for years at their ranch in Spokane, Washington.
One day, owner Francesca Carson decided to see if she could get Dally to ride Spanky and said the response from both was remarkable.

"It's really special to see the trust they have between each other - it's remarkable for a horse to allow a dog to jump on him whenever he wants," she said.
