October 17, 2020
"You're not supposed to be this far out!"
Volunteers from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution in Rhyl, Wales, saved Meg the dog after she swam out to sea chasing seagulls.
The lifeboat crew were contacted at 9:00 am after the owner of a dog dialled 999 and spoke to HM Coastguard at Holyhead to say his dog was swimming out to sea off Rhyl, chasing seagulls and would not turn back.
The dog was located, brought onboard the lifeboat, and returned to his grateful owner.
