Dog Trapped In Canal Thanks The Man Who Saved Him

Said Zarate, a garbage collector in Mexico, was making the rounds when he saw something moving in the canal.

"I saw something moving in the water," Zarate told The Dodo. "I kept looking until I could identify that it was a dog. I told my partner to stop."

Zarate successfully pulled the dog to safety and then received a sweet hug from the grateful pup.

"After staying with us for a moment, he ran off cheerfully back home," Zarate said.

After the video was shared online, Zarate said he received a message from the dog's owner thanking him for saving his dog.
