Kayaker Races To Rescue Seal Pups From Fishing Net

September 30, 2019

Schalk Louw, who lives in Namibia, helped save a bunch of seals who were entangled in fishing netting. He had to race to catch them before they could swim away.

"From my understanding it is against the law to fish with gillnet in Namibia," Louw said. "Yet we keep finding pups entangled in this death trap!"

Louw hopes his rescue video will help raise awareness about the dangers of fishing with gillnets.
