Texas Teen Runs Fastest 100m In High School History, Just .40 Seconds Behind Usain Bolt's World Record

Matthew Boling, a high school senior from Houston Strake Jesuit in Texas, ran a 9.98 in the 100m on Saturday at the UIL Region 3-6A meet. It was the fastest 100m time in high school history.
The current world record for 100m is 9.58 seconds, held by Usain Bolt.
That puts Boling just .40 seconds behind the fastest man in the world.
