Meet The Japanese Children's Character Who Plays Heavy Metal Drums

Nyango Star is a cute and cuddly children's character in Japan who also happens to be a talented heavy metal drummer.

Nyango performs impressive drum solos to popular Japanese children's songs... in full costume!

Here's one of his recent performances, which really gets going at about 1 minute in:

"When your band comes to check out your 'other important project'," someone commented.

"I was hoping the camera was going to pan around to a small group of disinterested schoolchildren."
