Man Hires Nigerian Scammer To Be A Professional Photographer
February 13, 2018
This is the story of how Adam met Tobi.
Adam Grumbo, a filmmaker and cinematographer in Austin, Texas, was messaged on Facebook by a Nigerian scammer who was pretending to be a pretty girl from Denver. Once Adam caught Tobi in the scam, instead of getting angry, he treated him with compassion.
Adam knew Tobi desperately needed money, so he offered Tobi a job as a "professional photographer".
He sent Tobi $100 US and asked him to take photos and videos of his house, the market, and everyday life.
Adam put together this video of the photos and videos Tobi sent, along with how the two met and have become good friends.
