"Dumb and Dumber" has developed a cult comedy classic status over the years, despite universally bad reviews upon its release in 1994.

Most people don't know that the studio really wanted another comedian to play alongside Jim Carrey, but Jim insisted on an actor — particularly Jeff Daniels.

In this interview on Off Camera with Sam Jones, Jeff Daniels explains how he almost didn't get the job, and how Jim helped him keep it even after he got it.
