While other contestants sang, danced or played instruments for the talent competition of Miss America, Miss Colorado walked out in scrubs and told a touching story about her experience as a nurse with one of her favorite patients.

While she may not have won the competition, this is a true Miss America. And there are many like her out there in our hospitals and clinics that are also winners - even without the pageant.
