March 27, 2026

With severe flooding in Mokuleia, Oahu, a dangerous situation quickly unfolded—but so did an incredible act of community heroism.

A 98-year-old woman found herself trapped inside her home as rising floodwaters made conditions increasingly unsafe. With time running out, nearby residents jumped into action.

At first, they considered carrying her out by hand. But realizing the risks, they came up with a smarter—and safer—solution: a front loader tractor.
