Not A Fan Of Spicy Food: Sea Turtle’s Priceless Reaction To Bristle Worm

July 29, 2025

A sea turtle thought she'd found a tasty snack when she bit into a bristle worm — but her reaction said otherwise. It was like a kid tasting Brussels sprouts for the first time.

While not toxic, bristle worms are covered in tiny hair-like bristles that can sting and irritate the skin.

I think it's safe to say this sea turtle is nota fan of spicy food.

But it's the karate chop at the end for me...

@ausgeo YUCK! Sometimes your food is so bad you have to spit it out ... and slap it! Juvenile green sea turtles mainly eat worms, small crustaceans, aquatic insects, seagrass and algae. When they become adults, however, they're strictly herbivores. 🎥 Tanya Ryan #ausgeo #seeaustralia #turtle #seaturtle #underwater #funnyanimals ♬ original sound - Australian Geographic
