Baby Cockatoos Or Baby Dinosaurs? See Why This Zoo Video Has Gone Viral

July 15, 2025

A zoo’s video of three baby black palm cockatoos has gone viral — not just because they’re rare, but because they look like something straight out of Jurassic Park.

The adorable (and slightly terrifying) trio are shown at different stages of development, and their wild squawks and awkward movements have viewers comparing them to dinosaurs.

“These amazing birds are native to Australia, and are one of nature’s most unique parrots,” the San Antonio Zoo shared.

The comments on the video are spot-on:

“Second and third are definitely dinosaurs.”
“I feel like this is the lab at Jurassic Park...lol”
“Why are baby chickens so cute when born but almost every other bird is HORRIFYING?”
“That middle one has me cracking up with its kung fu fighting.”

Well, they may not win a baby beauty contest, but these cockatoos have definitely won the internet!
